Geez, I think the realistic answer for aaaaaaall of your concerns over the last years about the cds being released there in the Phillippines is no. I see how you always ask, I used to do this concerning Brasil, but I quit.

You do not want to pay HIGH SHIPPING COST and HIGH IMPORT FEES, this is it.

Not to mention the uncertainty of it ever getting to you at all. From Manila I sent, by registered courier, an autographed Jars CD and t-shirt, and it never got to my brother.
And this isn't even international!

Also, if Daks' main concern is making the CDs available to the general public, I can understand the frustration. Most people don't have credit cards (unless things have radically changed), the mail system is unreliable at best, and actually being able to go to a store to buy one is the best way yet.
However, maybe going to retailers would be helpful? If they see the demand, wouldn't stores like PCBS etc. make the effort? Or is there something I'm missing?

You are exactly RIGHT!!

This is why I think International Distributionship Managers are needed URGENTLY!

i would say the article referred to by this:
http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/post/jarchives/vpost?id=3346998 makes complete sense.

House Of Praise and Philippine Christian Bookstore are market-based. They dont have the funds to make every christian album availbale. They only sell those that are wanted by the buyers (hey. Hillsongs, Steve Curtis Chapman, Jaci Velasquez, & Switchfoot are always in stock). That also doesnt mean they arent making any effort, for i think they sell a lot of those compilation albums to promote unheard christian artists (like WOW, etc.). However, i still feel their effort is kinda mediocre. Not to mention their so lacking creativity in promoting the kind of music that could have given them a lot of money.

What we need in the Philippines is a wide creative high-edge cool christian radio network. If a greater market size and demand  is achieved, see if those CDs arent always available.

They should release it on mainstream market just like what they did on the Greatest Hits album which was released on mainstream and not on Christian market.
