A new jarchives.com is coming soon.

Until then, you might want to check out our front page...

Amazeballs! Thanks a lot for the "Frail" download. I'm pretty excited for the new Jarchives, it's finally getting its well-deserved facelift :)

Downloaded the Frail ep. Wow! I was floored with the fade to grey version. First time to listen to this version and now I can't get enough of it! Thanks for uploading it! (hope it's legal) :)

and it seems to have a different lyrics? awesome!

Yup, Emman! With over a year of listening to it, I have deciphered the different lyrics in the second verse, it goes like this:

Spinning, twisted, ignorant bliss
Falling farther out of grace
crawling closer to the dust
Won't You save me from myself?

I guess they had rewritten it because it was just too dark and, well, twisted to fit on a debut album. Anyhow, it's an awesome song, and like I mentioned in my "Much Afraid" review, I like the distorted version on Frail as much as I like the polished pop version on MA.

yeah the demo version proves how amazing jars are when it comes to mixes and editing. I am currently listening to both the frail cd and the eastside manor sessions. It's such awesome to listen for it shows how genius the jars during their college days and how amazing they sound live and acoustic now.

Derek, what we're planning (Mike is the brains behind this) is to make the current site with all the archives still accessible from the new site. There is so much history (Earthen Vessels, articles, reviews, etc.) we would not want to lose any of that.

And Emmanuel, the download of Frail is indeed legal, thanks to Mike asking permission from the band, so we're good on that. I agree with you. Frail does show their genius back in the day and I can't stop listening to the Eastside Manor Sessions on Noisetrade. The quality of the audio...... and video just blows me away!

yeah just visited the homepage again (been checking it daily) and it says below that jars granted permission. So nice for them. Didn't noticed it for I was excited in downloading frail CD. I didn't download it before or purchase the demo CD since the songs were released on their albums.

I am loving the Frail and the eastside manor combo right now. It's the perfect cds to listen while waiting for Inland.

It's looking good Mike.  Thanks for all the hard work.  It's exciting to be a part of this community.  I've never really been attached to another band like I have with Jars of Clay.  There is something unique and special about these guys and their fans!  I love being a part of it all.  Thanks for keeping things fresh.

Thanks [smile] It's been a labor of love...hopefully y'all will appreciate the work we've put into the site.

There are definitely some exciting things in the works. The band has been extremely gracious and helpful in making this happen!
