I've really enjoyed the acoustic StageIt concerts dedicated to re-discovering the band's discography thus far. Much Afraid in particular is one of my favorite albums of all time and it was a thrill to hear them dust some of those old songs off again after what must have been years of absence from their setlists. I was looking ahead, wondering if they would do a concert for each month, and how they'd fill out the schedule without having 12 full-length studio albums under their belt just yet. Here's what I'm going to surmise will be the schedule:

January: Jars of Clay
February: Much Afraid
March: If I Left the Zoo
April: The Eleventh Hour
May: Who We Are Instead
June: Redemption Songs
July: Good Monsters
August: The Long Fall Back to Earth
September: The Shelter
October: Inland
November: Non-album tracks and rarities, perhaps?
December: Christmas Songs

My assumptions here are:

1) They'll push Christmas Songs to the end simply because there's no other month in which it's really appropriate (though it would be funny if they did it in August)
2) EPs, compilations and live albums (e.g. Closer, Stringtown, Furthermore) won't get a month of their own because they don't have enough "unique" songs to warrant it.
3) That leaves a month somewhere in between that won't be devoted to a specific album. I figure that would be a good time to dig some odds and ends out of the vault; maybe they could even open it up to the fanbase to vote on favorite tracks that never made it onto an album, but that could be wishful thinking on my part.

Any thoughts? Any important components of the Jars discography that I'm forgetting about?

You mentioned that there aren't enough songs from live albums and EP's, but with b sides and maybe tracks that didn't make albums, they would possibly have enough.  If they did any cover songs, then it's a stickier situation, due to rights and all that stuff.  It's possible, though.

Let me think of some songs off the top of my head.

Coffee song
God Only Knows
Headstrong
Everything Inbetween
The Stone
This Road
If I Stand
New Math
Tonight
Shipwrecked
Dig
The Widowing Field
Needful Hands
Hero 43 (Probably not the best Stageit type song)
Fly Farther
All I Want Is You
Rose Colored Stained Glass Windows
Blind

And I know this isn't thread related, but I do hope we'll get more of these albums on vinyl in the future.  I know they mentioned Good Monsters a while back.

Yeah, there are definitely more than enough B-sides and rarities and so forth. I've been thinking for a while that I could probably make a really good Jars compilation just with those. "Fly Farther" would be my #1 pick if they were to devote an "episode" to those, but I would also hope that songs I'd long forgotten about made an appearance and that I could hear them in a new light.

Here's the schedule, per our post about the series:

January 28th, 7:30/9:30 CST – Jars of Clay
February 25th, 7:30/9:30 CST – Much Afraid
April 1st, 7:30/9:30 CDT – If I Left the Zoo
April 29th, 7:30/9:30 CDT – The Eleventh Hour
May 27th, 7:30/9:30 CDT – Who We Are Instead
June 24th, 7:30/9:30 CDT – Redemption Songs
July 29th, 7:30/9:30 CDT – Good Monsters
August 26th, 7:30/9:30 CDT – The Long Fall Back to Earth
September 30th, 7:30/9:30 CDT – The Shelter
October 28th, 7:30/9:30 CDT – Inland

For the time being, it looks like we won't be getting a b-sides or a Christmas Songs StageIt. I wouldn't be surprised if they do another general Christmas one, though.

Ah, I had looked through the front page archives for a schedule but failed to find it. Thanks.

Though didn't the Zoo show get rescheduled to March 26th? That's what my "ticket" says.
