Did anyone catch Laura Bush on Fox News last night? (7-9-07 Greta's show at 10pm). She spent most of the time talking about her trip to Africa(4th one now), the need for water and combating malaria and aids. One of the things that caught my attention was how much she emphasized faith-based charities that seem to do the most good. Without actually mentioning B:WM, I felt like she included them in that statement.
I was most fascinated by the merry-go-round play equipment that children play on that also doubles as a pump for a well. It was invented by someone in South Africa and really is clever and amazing.

Blessings,
Lisa

I love it how Laura Bush is talking about Africa and her husband continues to try his best to blow up the world

wow.
You completely missed my point and the good of what I was saying pertaining to blood water mission.
I guess I had better be careful around here.

Blessings,
Lisa

no. i understood what you were saying. i just felt like saying that. I think it's great that she is talking about AIDS relief and clean water. Sorry to be cynical on you, but that's what came out while my fingers were typing

It's hard not to be cynical when the show in question is Greta Van Susteren's. I simply cannot take her seriously, remembering her from her days as CNN's OJ trial play-by-play commentator.

Blowing up the world so you have the freedom to say what you said....let's all keep this war in context of what it is, and that's to protect our country from terrorists....it may not all be going the way we hoped, but we are there for a reason and negativity doesn't help in any way.

I'd rather be fighting for our protection than to be taken over or killed by someone else and take away what we do have.

I'm sorry, Jeff. I shouldn't say such flippiant things. My brother is a Marine that has served 2 tours of duty. So I don't take my opposition to the war any near as flippiantly as that stupid remark sounded. It was a hard thing for me to come by. I could write lengthy posts about the war if I really wanted to. But I don't. I just wanted to apologize
