I still think this is a joke:  http://www.jesusfreakhideout.com/news/2012/08/21.Kevin%20Max%20Is%20The%20New%20Lead%20Vocalist%20For%20Audio%20Adrenaline!.asp

It's interesting to see where all the artists that started me listening to music in the first place are ended up and how they're evolving as artists.

Audio A, Third Day, Newsboys, DC Talk, and of course Jars. It's fun.

If it is true, should make for some interesting songs out of the new Audio A!

Yah, me too Romel! I'm still shaking my head at the "Taitboys." Sorry. I'm an old school fan of the Newsboys. This isn't the same band. You can't replace the frontman on any band.

I'm honestly a little upset that they're riding on the coattails of the name of AA when only one of these new band members was ever in Audio Adrenaline--not even the frontman, but the bass player! Seriously, there's no shame in CCM anymore. They're just milking the cash cow.

Derek, yup! I think there is only one or two original members in the Newsboys. New members...new band! What an idea! LOL

I've been following Kevin Max for a while, and this took be by complete surprise. I was always under the impression that he had a strong dislike for all that is CCM, and his most recent musical works seem like they're meant to push away from anything like that. I always thought that he was mainly the one who would never agree to a DC Talk reunion. Now he joins a band taking the name of a hugely popular CCM act? It seems like nothing else but a pure money scheme for me. I could be wrong, but I don't see any other reason why KMax would actually do something like that.

Also, I think I'd be much more inclined to listen to them if they just started out as a new group, without trying to bank on the AA name. Honestly, I just don't know what to think. This is truly puzzling to me.

Interesting. This is definitely a weird pairing. Kevin and Mark sounded nothing alike. Like...picture Kevin singing "Big House". It's...weird.

There's a really interesting set of comments from Ben Cissell, a former AA member and totally cool dude, in the comments here (the OP link isn't working for me for some reason). Those comments make me a lot more interested in...whatever this will be.
