Dan, Matt, Charlie, Stephen, Jars marketing team,

what will it take to get Jars' additional music (ie: Live at Gray Matters, iTunes originals, Mini Monsters EP, etc) in the Canada iTunes store, or even other international iTunes stores for that matter.  I know others have expressed interest from various countries regarding these items.  Is it really difficult to arrange?  Financially doesn't make sense?  I would think it easier to distribute the music being in the digital age, but I realize there are legalities with it all.  However, you need to know that there are many, many international fans who would love to support the band by legally purchasing these items through their respective iTunes stores. Or even through a download at jarsofclay.com which would not be restricted to U.S. residents only.

Sending this message from 45 minutes north of the U.S. border on a Cold Winters Night, a Jars of Clay fan eagerly waits for a reply.
Cheers,

Tim (NewMath)

I don't think Dan, or anyone from the band, are looking at these boards at the moment. you could try contacting them via twitter or something....

Just got an email from Nettwerk Management saying that they are working on this exact issue.  Here's hoping we see something in the international iTunes stores soon!

Cool!!! I'm happy for everyone who lives outside the states, it's too bad they couldn't have fixed this earlier.

Would suppose BandBox is a good way to work it out.

And BAM!  Live at Gray Matters is now at the iTunes Canada store!  Only one week late.  Sweet!  Thanks you Jars!

And also on the Dutch iTunes. Woohoo!

But... it doesn't seem to include the video. Is that available in Canada? Or is that a US exclusive?

BandBox is no good either - they only dealt within the US. That's why so many of us had to buy TLFBTE limited ed through one of our good US Jark friends here.

I imagine the problem is territorial rights, which seems a ridiculous phrase in a global, digital era, but hey, someone's gotta protect the label's interests

Oh yeah Seth, now I remember that! Sorry.
I think at least they did not have any problem with my credit card's billing address not being a US address. Only my shipping address was a valid US one, this is why I did not have a problem with it.
