Hi y'all,

The fall 2012 tour kicks off tonight in GA!!! I'd love to hear about others' experiences, reviews, set lists and see pictures/videos! And would also love to get some conversations going.

I'll be at a few shows in October...another Jars road trip! First stop? Auburn, ME on September 12!

We are going to the Birchmere next Tuesday the 9th. Probably second best venue with Ramshead Annapolis being the best

I hope they tour more in the Spring. Maybe they will with new music. I use to see them 6 - 8 times a year. Now it's much less...bummer

6-8 times a year? I've only seen them once in 2004 (first time ever they were in the Netherlands) and they've never been back since. So count your blessings.

I've pretty lucky. Last night was #32 in just 6 years. I have one more show this week to finish off the year. Not sure if they will have too many shows in the northeast in the spring. Charlie was saying the west coast was calling. LOL There's always SoulFest.

They always say the West coast is calling. LOL. Great night last night at the Birchmere. I love the stripped down venue with just Jars and the cello player. He added so much. To hear "Fade To Grey" was amazing as I have never heard them play that song live in all the years I have followed the band. Great to see Jude and hang out. Also loved meeting Steve's baby girl. She is a doll. Playlist:

     Fade To Grey
     Liquid
     Work (great version)
     Age
     Closer
     Scarlet
     Eyes Wide Open
     Like A Child
     Land of Confusion
     Oh My God
     Frail (sooooo awesome)
     Weapons
     Flood
     Dead Man
     ENCORE:
     All My Tears
     Love Song For A Savior

Still love them after all these years. Such an awesome band and friends.

I'll be at the Pittsburgh show Saturday night & I absolutely cannot wait!  It's been at least 3 years since I've seen them live - and I used to see them at least 3-4 times a year.  Thanks for posting the set lists - I've been wondering what they'll be playing.

Yes. Love the cello. I actually spent some time with Matt Nelson. What a doll! Fade to Gray is one of my old faves. Thinking I've heard it at least a half dozen times or so in the last 2-3 tours. I should double check my set lists. Set list has been exactly the same for the past half dozen shows with the exception of the cover song. They've recently switched from Road to Nowhere to Land of Confusion. So love that cover! It was meant for them! The Milly Bean is beautiful! So cute. Jude will show her pics of the band and ask her, "Where's _______?" Then she points to them. Yes, I've become pretty fond of them myself, especially Charlie. He's treated me pretty well! LOL

I love the way you guys document EVERYTHING!! It's been awesome seeing pics and watching videos of the tours I don't get to attend...The cover tune was ah-mazing!! I second Christa, it's like they wrote it or something, and the cellist added something special
Jars is one of the best bands ever live performance wise, coming from someone who's never seen them anywhere but her computer screen!

I think they are better in concert than their recordings. I have taken many people with me to see them for the first time and they all fell in love with the band after seeing them live. I love the interaction and jokes between the band members, especially Steve and Dan. What a hoot!

Ditto on everything Arden just said! I brought my best friend, who had never seen Jars before, and now she wants to go again. I told her that she'd have to put up with my shenanigans! LOL

Monica, they are most definately better live! Charlie apologized for the show being the same each night this week and that I must be bored by now. I replied with, "Are you kidding me? I wouldn't come if that were the case!" LOL I love posting videos/pics/set lists! Its a good rememinder of where I have been/where they have been and yes, gives others an opportunity to hear/see what's been happening. I love seeing others posts. It prepares me for their next show.

One day, Monica, you'll have to come visit and we'll go to a show! LOL I promise you that the Jark Sisters will show you some fun!
