Dan,

Anthony Kiedis of Red Hot Chili Peppers mentioned in his biography that he thinks of the band members more as co-workers whom he ceased being true friends with years ago.

Do you guys in the band feel the same way? Do you see eachother outside of the world of Jars of Clay, or is it strictly business?

we have hawaiian t-shirt day at the office from time to time.... occasionally someone will have a funny anecdote about the weather...

If it was about being business partners, we would have quit years ago. We are friends.

That's refreshing. Most bands can't stick it out. I think it's admirable that you guys are still able to be friends after all these years of tight quarters.

I'm always impressed with bands that can stay together and get along that long.  I'm not a musician at all, but I would think there'd be a lot of ideas thrown around, and inevitably many of those ideas would be rejected.  I would think that would cause hard feelings after a while.

well when you meet the guys and see how laid back, gracious, humble, and just all around nice guys they are, it's not hard to see how they might be able to stick together for so long.

the reason bands breakup is because one or two or three of the members are pretentious and selfish. not so with the jars boys, they really are just great guys.
