I'm curious who is collecting Jars of Clay CDs. It would be nice to share images of rare items and also stories of your favourite finds.

Also, I'm looking for help...

I have been collecting the CDs for over a year now, and my biggest problem is not knowing what is out there. To help others with their collection, I've been helping a fellow jarchives member, Pfreak, build an online resource for everyone to use.

Please visit the site and let us know if you have something that isn't listed yet.

I have an extensive collection of Jars CD's and memorabilia, at one time I did catalog them and I may still have that somewhere....if the old part of the message board from years ago is up and running you may be able to search posts from me and see some of what I have.  Not saying I am going to part with any of it, just stating I do have a pretty nifty collection.

Hi Jeff, welcome back! Unfortunately those old pictures have long disappeared. The threads are still there, but the pictures don't load. Glad to have you back!

I'm a modest collector myself. I have most of Jars' commercial releases (including a bunch of international singles). You might have seen my discography at http://www.petrafiles.com/petraspective/disc-jarsofclay.html

Fortunately, I've had quite some assistance from stand_1998 who's provided lots of scans of his promos. It would be amazing if you could help out in filling up some of the gaps in the promo discography and provide some scans. Do you have the Valley Song single? I'd really love some scans of that one. There's a couple of more there. Just browse the discography and I'm sure you'll have some info/scans that can fill up the gaps.

It has been awhile since I even looked at what I have...I do know I have The Valley Song single along with many other oddballs...there are well over 100 diff CD's (probably more) in my collection ranging from the standard releases, to imports, singles, compilations, etc.  Other than some of the newer singles that have come out since LFBTE, I probably have most everything out there...I don't have a scanner, so I'd have to figure out how best to get you something for that single...I could take a pic and text it??

Any type of picture will do. Right now I have a tiny thumbnail. Since I'm not located in the US, texting probably won't work, so I'll contact you through e-mail.

I'm also looking for info/scans for the single for The Stone and I heard there's a radio promo single out there for This Road. I have the version that was released for the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church, but I think there's another one. I'm also wondering if you might have a radio single for Like A Child. I've got the PFR/Jars Of Clay tour promo listed, but there might be a radio single. And I think there might be another radio single for The Eleventh Hour.

Anyway, I'll write you and it would be great if you could send some photographs.

I'll do what I can, but my life is VERY busy with 3 kids, family life, church, work....this is not at the top of my priority list right now....so it may require some patience on your part...I'll review your list once I get the mail and see what I can do and when I can do it.

I've got patience! How long has it been Jeff, 2.5 years that I've been waiting for you to take out your collection and pass along some information [wink]

I'm glad to see that you are getting back into the collecting scene, I'll email you again on our 5-year anniversary!!

I used to.  These days the convenience of putting everything in the "cloud" through amazon mp3 and streaming it to all my devices it just too nice, even though I enjoy lossless sound.

I do collect vinyl these days though, for when I get the moment to sit in the tv room and listen to an album through.  With a newborn that's tough, unless he's asleep for a good long while.  I'm sure as he gets older it will be much tougher!

Do you really need to post that on a public forum? In all my dealings with stand_1998 he has shown to be a reliable guy and a dedicated collector, so I'm sure it all was a misunderstanding between the two of you.

Wow! Ozzie, hardly on topic with your comments. I'll wait for an admin to come in here and clean up this mess before I publicly respond to your public complaint. [comp]

I apologize for my comments.  I didn't realize you had a family emergency.  I am an idiot and freaked out when I didn't hear back for a few days.  I have no reason not to believe stand 1998 is not a stand up guy.  My bad[frown]  I deserve whatever comments follow.
