Looking for live footage of Jars: The Eleventh Hour Tour - present day

So I'm working on a project in which I go over my favorite albums from the entire decade (2000-2009) and list my Top 100 albums. Jars of Clay is going to be on that list several times. I thought it would be fun to include, with every album I list, live footage of a song from that album. But good live footage of certain bands is difficult to come by. I've scoured YouTube for good Jars clips, and what I've found has been a bit lacking. So I'm turning to you guys, the fans, to see if you've got anything good or know of anything that's been posted to the net.

Here's what I've got so far, and what I hope to find:

From The Eleventh Hour: I've got "Revolution" from the 11ive DVD. It's better quality than a fan video, but a bit cheesy. I'd love a better version of "Revolution", or, if they ever did the whole thing live, "Silence". I'm open to good versions of almost anything from this disc, though.

From Who We Are Instead: "Show You Love" from Live 8. It's OK, but doesn't really show the band in their element, among their fans. I'd kill for a great live version of "Lesser Things", "Trouble Is", "Jealous Kind", or "Amazing Grace".

From Redemption Songs: A pretty crappy quality video of "I'll Fly Away" from the Music Builds Tour. Mac Powell and Robert Randolph are in it, which is cool. Lots of tone-deaf fans are singing along, which is not so cool. I'd love a better version of this from the same tour, or else a live version of "God Will Lift Up Your Head" or, if they've ever actually performed it live, "Thou Lovely Source of True Delight".

From Good Monsters: A pretty solid live version of "Mirrors & Smoke", but it's interrupted by some cheesy message from a fan to his wife. Did they get to do this live with Leigh Nash before she left the tour? Otherwise, are there good live versions of "Dead Man", "All My Tears", or "Light Gives Heat" floating around out there?

From The Long Fall Back to Earth: I found an acoustic version of "Closer", which is pretty cool because it's an unexpected way to perform that song. I might keep this, but wouldn't mind seeing other live footage from their latest tour if it's high quality.
Forum: Discuss Jars of Clay

Creation Festival Tour question

Hey all, I was wondering, based on your experiences with the tour so far, how the CFT concerts stack up vs. straight Jars concerts. Is their performance time meaty enough to be satisfying, or did it seem to be too short? I ask because I'm thinking about going to the Vancouver, WA show in a couple of weeks, but I may hold out for a summer show or two if it seems like they're only playing for 45 mins to an hour.
Forum: Discuss Jars of Clay

Jars on Blind Boys Duets CD

Jars of Clay is featured on the new Blind Boys of Alabama Duets CD which hits the streets on October 27. According to the BBOA website, it looks like the song will be "Nothing But The Blood" from Jars 2005 release, Redemption Songs. Too bad it wasn't something new.

http://www.amazon.ca/Duets-Blind-Boys-Alabama/dp/B002L5GQ28/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1255482953&sr=8-16

Forum: Discuss Jars of Clay

Recap of 10 Oct 09 show in ATL

Just a few highlights. This show was one of the Family Picnic shows with Third Day, so we went not knowing what to expect. Well, with no expectations, really.

Ya'll know me...the first thing I did when we got there was find someone to get word to the band that we were there and had a B:WM donation to put in Dan's hot little hands. A few minutes later, I was holding a handful of Meet & Greet passes and told to be at the Cadillac Club at 8 p.m. With that done, we could relax and enjoy the show...lol.

The only Southeast Jarks there this time were me, Susan, Chelsa and Greg. Hey, few, but loyal. I brought a friend of mine from high school that I hadn't seen in almost 30 years, who is now a Jars fan.

We wandered around the Verizon Amphitheatre, looking at tshirts and getting food/drinks for a while (Jars has some really great new tshirts!), then finally made our way to our reserved seats. They weren't the best seats I've ever had, but they weren't the worst either. We were in the section nearest Steve's side of the stage in row V. We were in our seats for Thousand Foot Krutch, which was pretty face-melty for my taste, but Susan loved them. After their set, we saw a pink mic stand come out and knew Jars was up next. They came out and Dan got everyone on their feet immediately. They did a great set...a few sound issues at the beginning, but the sound guys got it worked out. Now, I'm terrible at set lists, but here's what I remember, and these are not in order: Work, Liquid, Love Song, Flood, Dead Man, Weapons, Heaven (which Dan announced is their next single), and Closer. There was good crowd participation and, of course, me, Susan and Chelsa were on our feet for the set. My friend Scarlet got a kick out of our "cheer" moves for the L and the V and the O and the E on Closer.

They finished up around 7:45 and we headed for the Cadillac Club. After the usual (and expected) confusion over the M&G, and a little waiting while the guys showered and changed, Nick, the Creation Festival tour manager, escorted us back stage. There were only 7 or so for this M&G, so it was very intimate and we got to stay until we ran out of things to say, which was a while...lol. The guys know me, Greg, Chelsa and Susan pretty well by now, so there were hugs as soon as we hit the door. Right off the bat, Dan explained to me that they weren't doing sound checks on this tour, so they weren't able to practice with Jake to do the song I bid for (Collide). I told him I'd known in advance they wouldn't be able to do it, but was glad to hand over my B:WM donation anyway, which he took gratefully. We had great conversation with all of them. We talked about Finn and Owen (Matt's 3 month old) and Jude, Steve's fiance, among other things. I teased Matt about Charlie giving me his address so I could send the baby stuff and the guys all said that if we had anything to send any of them we could send it to Charlie. That got a few laughs. Of course, Charlie and Matt got out their phones to show us pics of the babies. Then Steve pulled out his phone (not to be outdone) and said "here's a picture of my baby" and showed us a pic of Jude holding a nice plate of Sashimi...lol. He told us they are getting married on 24 Oct 09 and we all congratulated him and sent Jude our best wishes.

On the way out, I asked Dan if they were doing any Christmas shows and he said they were doing a handful, but he wasn't sure where yet, so more to come on that.

Here's our group pic

Susan, me, Scarlet and Chelsa with the guys

The pics Susan took during the show itself were crappy, so we didn't post any.

Chelsa, you want to post a link to yours?

Forum: Discuss Jars of Clay

Dan,

What music have you been listening to this season? I am always up for checking out new tunes...

Also, I've been curious if you've heard of Josh Garrels (http://www.joshgarrels.com).
Obama awarded Nobel Peace prize?

My first thought was: Are you *%#@&*! kidding me? I mean, I know his intentions are good, but, don't you like... have to accomplish something? Maybe an authentic Peace deal?

Then I remembered... oh yeah, terrorist Yasser Arafat has also won the Nobel Peace Prize.

Now I realize that the Nobel Peace Prize has lost all credibility and significance, and has demeaned the stature of the once lofty honor.

Forum: Rantings, Musings, Fusings
